The beginning of a tradition
The Legend says that the Duchess of Bedford, a member of the court of Queen Victoria, invented the afternoon tea. To overcome the long break between Lunch and dinner the Duchess had served tea and pastries. Soon friends were invited to join her and together they had tea and light snacks in the afternoon. Nowadays you can come to Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois and experience this tradition from the 19th century with us.
