Wonderful and exquisite: chocolate charms the senses, the heart and the spirit. A luxury product that combines pleasure and refinement. Our head pâtissier will teach you how to make your own moulded Easter shapes, chocolate bars with exotic flavours and chocolates. Afterwards, you can take your own creations home with you in an Easter basket.

Mother’s Day Cooking Course for Kids

Sunday, May 9, 2010 from 9 amLooking for an extra special surprise for mother? Then this cooking lesson in the hotel kitchens for children aged 8 and over could well be the answer. Under the expert guidance of chef de cuisine Marc-André Dietrich, the little ones will prepare a 3-course meal for their parents. Comes 12.30 the budding young cooks and their proud parents will toast each other’s health with a special homemade aperitif before tucking to a delicious Mother’s Day Menu at the Brasserie. CHF 340 per child, incl. course costs, certificate, 3-course menu for both parents and child, mineral water and coffee, plus a little surprise at the end. The price does not include alcoholic beverages.

BAR MIXING CLASS I

Saturdays from 1 pm to 7 pm

Cocktails are ”in” – and martini cocktails, mojitos and Mai Tai are not only a hit with the younger generation. Head barman Thomas Huhn lets you take an in-depth look into the shaker. You learn the correct way to shake or stir classic and modern drinks, which ingredients are a must in your home bar and which tools you need.

CHF 215 course costs incl. certificate, aperitif, coffee break with patisserie as well as hot and cold amuse-bouches in the Chef’s Table.

BAR MIXING CLASS II

Saturday, June 5, 2010
from 1 pm to 6 pm

The long-awaited continuation of the now legendary Bar Mixing Class I. In the first part, Thomas Huhn will provide more basic knowledge about traditional spirits like gin, vodka, tequila and rum. In addition, the current Swiss Champion will give insights into Liquid Kitchen drinks and an introduction to molecular bar culture on the basis of espumas and caviar.
