Jürg Morant (*1944)
Chairman of the board of directors; chairman, Finance & Audit Committee

After studying medicine and business administration in Berne and St.Gallen, Jürg Morant completed the Senior Executive Programme at INSEAD. During the course of his professional career he held numerous leading positions in the pharma industry before acquiring a company publishing medical journals and later joining the corporate board of Vivendi Universal Publishing. Mr. Morant is a member of the board of the dental implant manufacturing company, Straumann AG (Basel).

Rudolph Schiesser (*1959)
Deputy chairman of the board of directors; chairman, Human Resources Committee

After obtaining a commercial diploma, Mr. Schiesser studied at the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne and at Cornell University (Ithaca, New York). During the course of his career he spent three years as general manager of the Hotel Imperial Palace (Annecy, France) and was general manager of the Hotel Les Trois Rois (Basel) from 1994 to 2007. Mr. Schiesser is chairman of the board of directors of the Grand Casino Basel and of the Airport Hotel Basel and also a member of the board of Confiserie Schiesser (Basel). He is also lessee of the Hotel Touring au Lac (Neuchâtel).

Dr. Jürg Greuter (*1956)
Member, member of the Finance & Audit Committee

Dr. Greuter is a lawyer and solicitor. After obtaining a law degree from the University of Basel he began his career as an Associate with a law firm in Zurich. He has been a partner in the law firm Dietrich Greuter Wunder Möcklin in Basel since 1990. Dr. Greuter is also a member of the boards of Medartis AG (Basel) and Tschudin & Heid (Waldenburg) amongst others.

Werner Suter (*1939)
Member, member of the Human Resources Committee 

After completing an apprenticeship as typesetter and training to be a proofreader, Mr. Suter took his 'A' levels at evening school before going on to study marketing. His first job was as a journalist, first in Lucerne and later in Algeria during the civil war. He also wrote radio dramas and cabaret texts for small theatres in Switzerland and Germany. His globetrotting years came to an end when he took up employment with an investor relations company in the USA. Today, Werner Suter is owner and CEO of Suter Global Communications AG.

Thomas Thoenen (*1952)
Member, member of the Human Resources Committee

Mr. Thoenen is a qualified construction engineer. After completing his professional training he worked as a foreman for a Swiss construction company in St. Gallen, Saudi Arabia, Zurich and Basel. In 1981 he joined the construction company founded by his family in 1906, Thoenen Bauuunternehmung AG in Gstaad, where he continues to hold the positions of managing director and chairman of the board. Mr. Thoenen is also a member of the board of Energieholz AG Saanenland (Gstaad), of Frischbeton Oey AG (Saanen) and of the Flugplatzgenossenschaft Saanen-Gstaad.
